MARKETS / SCOPE
Mexico & LATAM · Website & resources
01 / THE PROJECT
Complex technology.
Clear communication.
Fraud prevention is a complex business. Communicating how it works shouldn’t have to be.
SEON helps businesses detect fraud, assess risk, and protect their operations. I led a team of translators localizing its website and extensive resource center for Mexico and Latin America.
The challenge: make specialized SaaS and financial content accessible without compromising technical accuracy, credibility, or search relevance.
02 / SUBJECT-MATTER BREADTH
Many disciplines.
One consistent voice.
The work called for fluency across financial compliance, fraud operations, and the technology behind modern risk management.

03 / IDENTITY

04 / SECURITY TECHNOLOGY

Financial applications
Fintech, online lending, e-commerce, iGaming.
03 / THE APPROACH
Linguistic quality,
at scale.
With multiple linguists contributing to a growing library, consistency had to be built into the process. We maintained a shared terminology sheet for specialist vocabulary, recurring expressions, and editorial decisions.
Terminology research mattered when a literal translation was understandable but unfamiliar to the market. Established Spanish-language usage had to be balanced with technical precision.
I coordinated assignments, reviewed and proofread content, and worked with a keyword strategy that aligned search intent with accurate, natural Spanish.

Why the distinction matters: familiar wording is not necessarily an accurate equivalent. These terms refer to different types of fraud, so we examined established usage while preserving the technical distinction.

05 / THE OUTCOME
A Spanish-language foundation for SEON.
“Understanding the language is only part of the job.”
Over the engagement, our team localized SEON’s website and a substantial resource library covering fraud prevention, fintech, financial compliance, and adjacent industries.
Alongside that content, we maintained a working framework for terminology management, linguistic QA, and SEO-aware localization.
The project reinforced why technical localization must account for the technology, the industry, and the people using it—not just the words.
